Tractor is about 16 years old but still a great work horse until yesterday. Was mowing with Blades engaged coming down a slight incline when the engine just died and the mower came to a stop. Key on position showed no electric to the Amp meter on dash. So it blew the 15 amp fuse. My craftsman stop moving forward or backward after finishing the front lawn. I see a wire coming from the (electrical clutch, according to the manual) and it looks like maybe it has gotten loose. My Craftsman YT4000 - won't leave "free wheel" mode. I've pushed the bypass lever all the way in but it will rolls freely. When I trace the bypass lever back I can feel it moving the switch on the transmission. Mower runs fine and blades will engage but it won't move forward or backward. Drive belt looks fine.The usual symptoms of excessive clutch air gap are 1) Won't engage at all. 2) Engages slowly (no distinct clunk) 3) Won't stay engaged under a load (less than 1 minute). Most older Craftsman ran Ogura clutches and they are proud of them. I've become a fan of Extreme Clutches.
